Flashing engine light??
Just had a flashing engine light come on and no codes thrown. The car is idling really rough and major decrease in power. The engine seems to be shaking alot more than normal upon visual. Any ideas?

Are the mods new? Did you have tuning?

it is a misfire. That is the only time the MIL flashes. My quess would be a bad plug or wire. :thumbs:

I understand its a misfire now but not sure whATS causing it. The problem just ocurred well after mods installed and tuning done. Car ran great until this just happened.

Hmmmm.... I never had the issue in my vette but I know that Dodge uses the flashing engine light as an indication to take your car in immediatly. I had it happen in my truck and it turned out that my valves we burnt. kaley

Check ALL the plug wires. I burned one and it happened to me. It was very slight but it did cause a misfire.

robz,
The guys are right, the flashing light means misfire(s). I have this issue on my car right now. I would check a few things:
* The wiring harness/connection from the coil packs
* All plugs
* All plug wires
* All connections/wiring to the injectors
Hope this helps...

Flashing does not mean misfire, read your owners manual it states the difference between a flashing SES light and one thats on steady.
