Just changed my MAF....
I just remover the POS Granatelli Mass Airflow, and replaced it with my stock one. Do I have to do a relearn or should I just drive it, and let it learn ??? Thanks for any help...

The Granetelli held my car back for its first year..
Once I went back to stock, I started liking my car again... :yesnod:

My car didn't feel so hot either, I'll go out tonight or Saturday when I go to Kirban's for a tour. I'll let you know how it feel, thanks El.

Bill...
I think going back to the stock MAF, (hope you took the screen out too), will really wake your car up, as it did mine 3 years ago...
Another tip since you have just done this....
I'd remove the negative cable from the battery for 5-10 mins to clear out all the learned fuel trims & cells...
This way you're starting fresh.. Your PCM & car will love you for it! :yesnod:

:iagree: with the pos part for sure--I went back to stock with good ends and no screen and have had no probs.

What effect do you get from removing the screen?
What is the screen's purpose?

Thanks guys, I did a relearn and it might just be in my head but the car felt stronger and the mpg seems better. I think the screen is to straighten out the air flow. I'm told that if you have an after market intake some say it will help, others have complained of a stall/ stumble or an uneven idle.

Re: Just changed my MAF.... (Bill Vett)
Removing the screen on a stock car will make it run lean. If you do switch your OE MAF that has a screen to a non screen OE or aftermarket unit, (excluding the POS Granatelli MAF) you will need to retune the car.
