Hello,
I have decided not to put a nitrous system on my corvette. If anyone has any info on the stock Z06 heads and cam, I would apprreciate the info. I'm serious thinking about changing my C-5 heads and cam for the stock Z06 heads and cam. I already have the LS6 intake so why not complete it with the Z06 heads and cam? If anyone can help me along with any computer changes needed, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your time.
Bob
You can get a good deal on a package from GM parts direst and we can do the install or tuning or both.. Let me know if you have any questions.. :seeya :seeya
I've looked at this option as well. If you decide to pull the trigger and do the Z06 H/C package please keep us posted on the cost and your feelings of the added performance.
Hello Mark,
I'm still kicking this Z06 H/C idea around. If I do go through with it, I wil get back to you and let you know what I think about the change.

Bob - If you read the thread just above yours about one fellows disaster with an aftermarket head(Patriots) with a car as expensive as a C5, one becomes motivated to stay with factory parts. I have a '03 C5 M6 and am just about out of bolt on options. I want to keep the daily driver smoothness and reliability, but with the extra HP available in that margin between stock and a "noticeably altered" drivetrain. The LS6 heads and GM "hot cam" should be worth some power, without sacrificing driveability. I am sincerely interested to know how your search turns out....
If your going stock Z06 heads and cam..maybe waiting until the AFR heads hit could be a boon to you.
As there is no core charge I'd imagine 700 to 900 for a set of Z06 heads and cam will be available soon after the Z06 owners start switching over to AFR heads?
Why not get the GMPP LS6 cnc'd heads and one of the aftermarket sleeper cams. The heads will only be about $200 more for the pair, than what the stock ones will cost and the cam will be around $200 more than the stock GM LS6 cam. You'll still have good reliability and drivability, with better performance than an LS6 upgrade package.
ifu go through all that trouble yr better of to go with a little bigger cam. tr220 or tr224 awesum street cams and very reliable and not huge

Yep. Those would be good choices. I went with the LPE GT2-3, but that required changing the valve springs. I'm pretty sure you don't need to do that with the TR cams.
