Guys, installed headers from the bottom, both sides. Utilitizing a four post lift the headers installed into the engine compartment in 5 minutes tops. Hardest part was moving the wiring harness out of the way on both sides. Now for the quirky part. It took me a good hour to re-install the dip stick tube. THe friggen bolt and bracket would not go past the header flange. I had to take the flange off the bolt using a bench grinder. As for the bracket had to grind off some of that so it would conform to the shape of the flange. Other than that little set back this hasn't been too bad. Of course my lilly white hands look like chopped meat (bloody mess) but I'll get over it. Going to wrap it up tomorrow.

Re: LGM Longtube install going well! (Leo the Lion)
Keep us updated!!!! I notice the stingers in your sig... Are you by any chance installing the LG off-road setup? If so, could you post some sound clips?
Re: LGM Longtube install going well! (Leo the Lion)
Way to go, Leo! I sure wish I'd have had a lift when I did mine. It would have made it a whole lot easier! I know what you mean about the bloody hands - I installed new plug wires this past weekend and my hands are a mess (again!)!
Lou, thanks again for the install tips. You and others who have gone before me have made this job much quite a bit easier I must say.
Re: LGM Longtube install going well! (Leo the Lion)
Leo's right on that one - it's pretty loud even with the high-flow cats and Stingers. I can't imagine how much louder it would be with the off-road setup. Personally I think the LG's & Stingers and the off-roads would be too much for me, but lots of guys have them that way and love it! I'm sure somebody here could send you a sound clip of that setup.
Re: LGM Longtube install going well! (Leo the Lion)
Leo, believe me, I wouldn't have gotten it done on my car without the help and advice of all the Forum members here and the guys at LG. I was lucky that a good guy in Atlanta (Al) offered to call me and talk me through some of it. He even gave me his cell phone number so I could bug him with more questions! He was a huge help and if I'm ever down that way I owe him a few cold ones! There are alot of good mechanics here and I'm not one of them, so I relied on everyone's advice to get me through it! That's the beauty of this forum, huh?!
I finished my install tonight & I just got back from my first short run. My install went well and to my surprise I threw no codes. I have the stingers & the off-road x-pipe. It is pretty damn loud, but i like it. The baby nextdoor was screaming when i fired it up so the fiance made me shut her down.My idle is re-learning so i stalled twice (i am untuned w/ cam in sig) I hope my new plugs and wires & the idle re-learn help the stalling at least a bit. Kudos to all in the forum who posted install tips.
Hey quick question on the ground strap when i reattached it i noticed that there was another wire there running just above the oil filter...i did not notice that when i took off the strap i hope i did not make a mistake !
Mirek I had a black wire attached to that ground bolt along with the ground strap. I remember Lou saying that if the black wire wasn't re attached the cpu would revolt somehow, throw codes I assume. Other than that there was the o2 sensor harness and other wires coming frm the firewall. I gotta give you credit if you installed that cam, that's a little out of my league.
Good Luck and I hope it settles out for you.
