I have a 2000 convertible. The other night the alarm sounded while the car was in the garage. I went out and nothing was touched. the doors were still shut and locked. I turned off the alarm locked the doors again. Alittle while later the alarm went off again. Same scenario.
The next day when i was putting the top down the passenger window did not automatically go down like the driver side. Also sometimes while driving the door ajar light comes on.
These are the symtoms of a leaking battery, it happened to me. I started noticing certain problems, then one morning, no power. Lucky I still had 200m left under warranty, because it ruined my pcm that is mounted below it-($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)! Check your positive battery post for leakage. If you still have the old Delco it was nitorious for this. Also make sure your terminals are on tight....
You may have a alarm switch with an intermintant fault, they a PIA to locate. Either disable alls witches and see ing occurs again. If it does, enable one switch at a time until the fault occurs again, then replace the switch. Too much work, just replace all the switchs.
Do you keep your FOB close to the car? And by that I mean within 100ft or so. If you do, try moving them away from the car. I had a similar issue. The FOB can still transmit a signal to the BCM even when you are not pressing the buttons on the FOB. This can cause the alrm to go off. Have you checked for codes? Let us know how it turns out.

:iagree: But check your dome switch in your door too. Also try checking the brain...it might just be a loose wire or short. Check the battery in your remote.
