Re: kook header issues on ls1 with ls6 heads (phils C5 vette)
Air Pump?? What air pump?
You can bolt any combination of LS1/LS6 head and header to your motor and everything would fit fine except for one small detail: The only thing that is model year dependant is the location of the egr exhaust line bung on the header itself. on 97-99 the bung comes off one of the middle exhaust pipes about 6" down from the exhaust flange. On 00-04 the bung comes right off the flange itself between cyl 3-5 and cyl 4-6. For this reason it is kinda necessary that you order your headers per model year. But even if you picked up a different m.y. header, you can get creative and make your egr air lines work.

thats what i was talking about bro. My car is at the GM dealership. They dont mind doing the bolt on job, but they dont like the liablity of getting creative.
