When installing SS brake lines where does the copper ring go?
Im switching over to stainless steel brake lines. My stock lines have a built on copper ring looking peice between the line connector and the actual caliper. And then they also have a copper ring (that comes off) between the back of the bolt and the brake line. So in other words I have one copper ring to work with.
Where does it go?
Second question. THe bolts that hold the line to the caliper have a hole in them. One of the four bolts that came with the lines is broke. Can I use the stock bolts instead? They are about 2 cm longer, but it looks like the inner hole is in the same place.

You should have 2 crush washers (copper) on each caliper, on each side of the hose end. These actually "squash" to seal your brake system. You should be able to re-used one of the OEM bolts.
Make sure you torque properly, as the aluminum calipers can be damaged if not.
