Not that I would ever question the Gods of Corvettes (Lingenfelter), but I wanted to see if I could get some more feedback.
I called them asking what other things would need to be done to my M6 Coupe if I decided to go with the supercharger. He said not much at all. Maybe replace the clutch to a LS6 clutch and that should be fine.
I always thought a new transmission would be needed as well. Anyone else here have a supercharger that could give me some feedback? I'm not to excited about needing a raised hood but that's a good trade for 140hp!!!!
No need for new tranny and LPEs advice was sound except for the fact that headers would allow your motor to breath better. Figure headers, new clutch and your good to go. The M6 stock tranny is STRONG and no need to change it out until IF and when it goes out (which will probably not be for a long, long time, unless of course you beat the LIVING SNOT out of it!:D)
Yea, I already have the LG Headers and Corsa exhaust on my car. He also told me that when and if I ever got a cam or any other mods that it will not add much more hp because I already have the supercharger. He said a cam would only add another 20 hp. To be honest I don't think I need more then a supercharger for a everyday driver! :steering:

Actually a few forum members posted some strong numbers with just the Mag and a blower cam... so I tend to think the blower cam will help quite a bit. Let's look at the math:
345 base hp +
150 Mag hp =
-----------------
495 bhp
x.85 drivetrain loss =
-----------------
420rwhp
A few guys were posting up roughly 480-490rwhp with the Mag and blower cam so after you do your Mag, see where your HP ends up. I would guess with your mods no more than 450rwhp. The extra 30-40rwhp these guys are seeing is probably from just the cam.
Wasn't the 480/490 with heads and cam and mag???? Not just cam and mag. with bolt ons?????
my wife is getting 465+ with H/C and non i/c mag with A4
So wouldn't the 20 hp be realistic w/o the heads??
When I talked with Magnusen concerning aftermarket cams or heads; they recommended staying stock with the exception of good air filter/airbox, headers and good flowing exhaust system. They said their tune was good for 95%. another 5% could be had by a good tuner. As mentioned earlier a cam is good for maybe 20-30 hp and you have to mess with the internals.
Whats wrong with 460 pluss HP and close to 500 lbs of torque!
:hurray:
I believe in 2003 the Bowling Green plant put Z06 clutch and torque tubes in all Corvettes. Check with Bill Reid at Xtreme or another performance tuner but I have been told more than once that my 03 AE Vert has the Z06 hardware.
