Default Electrical Anyone?

Ok guys! I need someone to walk me thru this...let me tell you what I did...BTW, already tried two different install guides available here (Corvette Dreams, and the CF guide). I have an '03, C5, automatic.
1. Installed PIAA's in place of stock fogs
2. PIAA's work...I know 'cause they fired right up when directly connected to battery(as a test)
3. The stock fog switch is sending a signal to the stock relay, cause it's clicking when I press the switch to turn the fogs on/off.
4. Tried checking the stock fog harness, no power. So I know the issue is between the fuse box (relay) and PIAAs.
5. All PIAA connections are good (power, ground, etc.)
Does anyone know if there is a error code or something that's stopping the power from reaching the ligts, maybe a default or something? HELP! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I have never messed with the fog lights - however - if you have a multitester, Make sure you have power just after the relay. Is the fog light relay one that plugs into the fuse box itself (I would think it is), unplug it and make sure it is working. You can also temporaily bypass the relay with a insulated wire just to see if you get power (I know you hear it clicking but the is not proof positive it is making a good connection - using a temporary bypass will eliminate any chance of the relay being bad) Use a decent gauge wire so as to not overload it - again we just want a quick test.

Do the new fogs have a much greater amp rating than the stockers>? If so is there also a fusible link in line just after the relay? Check it or do a temp by pass there as well (fusible link is just a sensitive wire link that dissipates when it is overloaded.)

Click here for the fog light schematic.

If you can hear a click check fuse #6 to make sure the lights are getting power.

FYI, the fog light on/off switch is only a momentary contact, not a true on=closed/off=open type switch.

Let us know what it was, and GOOD LUCK!!! :seeya
