DYNO TUNE VS. LS1 EDIT TUNE???
Look at it this way. Compare the cost of buying LS1EDIT to a good tune at a shop you trust. Here in Dallas you can get a car tuned for about $500 and they will do follow up as required at no extra cost. So if you make more mods later they will retune the car at no cost.
Compare that to your cost for LS1EDIT and any hardware you have to buy to get it functioning. IMO it just adds up better to let someone with a Dyno tune your car. Plus as part of the deal you get the skills of a talented tuner who has done more Vetts than most of us are even likely to see.
Tuning on your own is hit or miss because the only way you know if your changes made an improvement is by the seat of your pants. The only other way to know if you made improvements is an ET slip at the track, assuming you can make consistant runs, and most of us can't do that with a street car.
I had the tuner at 21st Century do mine after a cam and gear install. There is just no way I could ever get close to what he can do with the tools and experience he has. I think it was money well spent.
