cold air screens for 2003 corvette convertable
I have been looking for cold air screens for a 2003 but only have found some that say they are for up to 2001. Is there any reason I could not use the ones for 2001?
You're correct. I purchased them for my 2004 C5 and once my mechanics began examining the installation process and the work involved - we all realized what a pain in the butt it would be. They are still sitting in my garage. Also, realize a little more dirt will make its way into that area with the screens installed.

Are you talking about the Z06 screens or the cove inserts that are opened up?
If your talking about the Z06 screens then any year will work and get them from Ken Fichtners, they usually have a sale going on

I am talking about the cove's with holes cut not just the screen (I would get the screens as well). I bought some dual cone air intakes and was wanting to get more air in there with the cold are screens.

All of these are the same as far as I know, you should see 3 mounting tabs on the cove 2 on one end and 1 on the other end.
And the easieat way to do replace them is to remove the front facia, it sounds like a big job but it can be done in about 20 minutes plus you can get your factory build sheet at them same time

I installed both the open foglight shrouds and the Z06 screens on my 03 Vert. No problems.
Runamuk knows what he is talking about, he helped me install mine and this is a great mod. We ended up putting both the open grills and Z06 screens on, although either one alone would open up the air filter access. :D

Not sure if this is similar to what you guys are talking about. Drill some holes and install the screens, its cheaper and easier.
