Default 1/4 mile question
What typically does a stock '04 or similar with an AUTOMATIC and 3.15 gears run in the quarter? It seams like all of the tests I can find in the magazines are 6 speeds. Unfortunately I don't have a track near by or I would just run mine in about 25 miles (I am up to 975 miles) :D.

Mike is right. A stock A4 will usually run low to mid 13's. With the 3:15 I'd say around +/- 13.2s. You could take the car out to the Rockingham Dragway which is a little over an hour drive from you. With the right circumstances (weather, wind, weight, etc), you may even be able to break into the 12's.

Our 98 was a total dog when bone stock....13.98!! It now runs high 11's, low 12's with only the mods below....no heads or cam. :cheers:

With the right circumstances (weather, wind, weight, etc), you may even be able to break into the 12's.
I ran a 13.0 @ 108 in great weather and track conditions.

My 03 ran 13.5 @ 101.7 with 3k miles, that same night as the air cooled it ran 13.3 @102.9 mph. :steering:
