Default Remote Keyless Entry STB

Getting the run around...

Both my Fobs stopped working.

I went thru the resync, then the relearn

I replaced the batteries in both, then resynced / relearned.

Finally brought it to the dealer.

They replaced the Transmitter/Receiver. No help.

They claimed to have talked to GM, who suggested that I buy a new Fob and try that. I told the dealer I would spend my money on a warranty issue.

So the dealer sprung for the Fob.

It actually worked longer than my original ones but now, 6 days later, I stoped also.

Anybody out have a similar experience. I like the convenience of the RKE especially in the rain, I could live without it, but why should I?

Thanks

Mine don't work either. Who knows why? I know it is attached to the tire sensors. But they work. I'm just gonna install aftermarket ones. I hate the way the FOB looks anyway.

Yeah,

Funny thing is the tire sensors work fine just like yours.

same problem on mine...I have thought about aftermarket, but I have heard horror stories about electrical system conflicts. I only use it to unlock the car, I can lock it as I get out. So I just bought myself a cool vette keychain.

I have had the new OEM Fob for over a week now...

The damn thing still works, can it be the FOB???

Would it be the batteries I installed in the two original FOBs. They were Radio Shack. I wouldn't think it mattered but this is getting a little bizzare.

Both of minw are acting the same way, just after having my car stored this winter.....if I resync them, they will work for a day or two, but act like on valet all the time so will unlock my car upon approching.....and sometimes if I am too close for too long will unlock it also without me knowing! :mad  :bs
