Harness bar - anyone make their own?
I was looking around for a harness bar for my 99 FRC and came to the conclusion that they are all highly overpriced metal rods. We have some basic machine tools (cutter, lathe, grinder, torch, really big hammer for the stubborn parts, etc). I was thinking I could fabricate my own bar for much cheaper, even get the damn thing powder coated. Any suggestions on bar type? I've seen just plain round rods, eliptical (on the crosssection), and bars with added bracing all made with various metals. I would like to keep weight to minimum.

I made my own lap belt bar from pictures of one I saw, it bolts to the rear seat mount bolts :cheers:
