LG was using the Rev 1116 springs with the G5X2 packages for awhile, and those were the ones people were having breakage problems with.
The Comp 921's have a stellar reputation, but they are pricey.
THANKS, love this forum for folks like you, Z06ufgrad2002, and Mean Green as well as others that have been patient with my inquiries. Lou said I'd be happy with the Comp 921 DS. I'd rather spend the extra now for the better Valve Springs rather than later for who knows what  .

Re: G5X-3 114 Question? (Cary)
As far as I know, mike's car was tuned by LG and he has had at least one valvespring break. I don't know which brand springs he was running. Mike's car stalled once while I was following him and had to sit for about 2 minutes when he first started it before the idle stopped hunting.
The other car I rode in (an auto) idled just fine and only had moderate "shake" at idle. He did have problems getting the TC to lock up, though.
What is the average lifespan for the new springs? I agree- price is not an object as long as the bloody things don't break...
I'm sure these are great cams, but they're just a little too aggressive for my tastes, I think...

Maybe I should keep my mouth shut but I thought some of the work on Mike's car was at a different Performance Shop?
Lou told me the Comp 921 Dual Springs would never have to be replaced in regard to my driving style characteristics. In the 15 months I've owned my C5 its been to the track only once. I'll definitely go back to San Antonio Raceway after the upgrades done in April at LGM. However, even then My track visits will be with only a few runs & probably not more than 2-3 times a year.
I got G5X-2 cam only and everything is just fine ...
Originally got issue with Rev springs since Rev springs are suk big time ...
After replacing them with Isky's, so far so good ...
The car was not idle well because I've been messed up my TB and MAF lately ... for now, everything is fine ...
However, the valve train sounds like a sewing machine compare to other smaller cams ...
My next projects are gear and torque tube. Heads will be later until C6 releases since C6 parts may fit right on :D
I have the G5 X2 114, love it, would definately say PUT IT IN!
The torque down low is perfect for a 3.42 with street tires, any more power and you'd have to back off the peddle to get out of your own cloud of tire smoke.
I can hardly wait until April 14th when I bring my C5 up to your shop for the G5X-3 w/lsa 114 Cam Pkg. w/Comp 921 Dual Springs, and Vig2800 (w/B&M Trans Cooler) install. Chris & Jeremy (Godspeed) convinced me this set-up would reach my 400rwhp/rwtq goal, yet be very daily driver friendly.
BTW, April 12th is my 43rd birthday, so I know you will foot the bill on a chocolate cake for my belated b-day/400rwhp party on the 17th when I come back to your shop for my C5.
