Default stock fuel system upgrades + pressure regulation problems

I am currently performing a long list of modifications to a customers 2001 ZO6 to include a full drivetrain swap, h/c, cooling system upgrades, roll cage, suspension, etc. One of the mods he's contiplating is NXL port nitrous. I want to upgrade his fuel system without having to build him a whole separate stand alone external fuel system. We are considering the Racetronix in tank upgrade kit. I am aware that the later model C5's have the fuel pressure regulated back at the fuel tank/filter area, just off the driver tank. This will hinder the full benefits of the Racetronix upgrade a little unless the stock system is converted to a rail mounted regulator, like on the 97/98 model years. But since we are installing the NXL system, the stock fuel rails are done away with completely. So I was thinking of installing an EFI FPR at the NXL fuel inlet off the driver rail then having a #6 return line routed back to the tank. Also add on the Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump controller to smooth out the initial 'nitrous instant on' fuel demand/fluctuation. I have other ideas, as well, but this would seem to be the best compromise between a truly kick butt fuel system and cost. I am interested in others experiences with stock fuel system modifications. We already know we do not want the costs of building a full stand alone external system (I have that on my car and it is a very expensive way to go). So we're looking for the best way to mod the stock system. Thanks a lot in advance.
