Re: How often should you replace the spark plugs? (MikeNMaxZO6)
Alot of guys here recommend the NGK TR55's. I replace my plugs when I notice a difference in the idle quality. That was first at about 35,000 miles, then again when I swapped cams. Pull one or two out and check the gap and electrodes. If the electrodes are rounded-off, black and sooty and/or excessively gapped change them out. Plugs are cheap. The stock recommended gap is .055". Chris

Given, some Corvette are driven hard.....how often should you replace your spark plugs and if so...what kind? :chevy
If they are the original Delco you can never do it too soon. Lot of problems with the tiny platinum "Puck" missing from the bottom elctrode causing wide gap and short life. NGK will tell you their best plug for this application is the TR55IX which has and iridium fine wire is highly durable, has a big flame and a tiny profile.

MikeNMaxZ06,
I replaced the original sparkplugs in my 1999 C5 coupe with new Delco (stock) plugs at 30,000 miles. The car idled much smoother. I do not see how Chevrolet can recommend 100,000 miles for the plugs. If you are not sure what to do, just replace the plugs and be done with it.
