Default Torque converters

Based on best price , reliability and quality which would you buy ?

I want a Yank SS3600/2.5 str. but its $875.00 :(

Vinnci is only $575.00 , but are they worth buying ?

Have no knowledge of the Vinnci, most people here use the popular Yank, Pro Torque or the Vigalante.

Good Luck!

Hey John,
Curious, your SIG reads 4400 Vigilante & by the PIC of the front end lift your C5 looks damn fast. Which TC is in your C5? TIA.

Shift extension is how much the converter drops down after shifting. The SS3600 will drop to 4700-4800 rpms after the car shifts to keep you in the powerband.

Which Vigilante do you have in your C5? I'll be getting the Vig2800 installed in mine next month at LGM.

I went with the SS3600 and managed to get a defective one. Yank was very unhelpful, refusing to send a replacement before they received the original one. Shop I had install it had to order another, then ship the other back. Yank also claimed to have shipped it when they in fact had not.

Service sucks :smash:
