Check engine light PCM code

Check engine light PCM code

The check engine light just came on and I got the PCM code P0440 H C.

I know the H is for history and the C is current.

The list of codes posted here has P0441 but no P0440.

Any one have a complete list that can look this up for me?

It means the Evap system isn't holding pressure, or the sensor isn't reading the right pressure. 90% of the time it's just the gas cap needs to be taken off and put on again. Give it a bunch of clicks.

i was going through some sode issues myself for the first time. anyway, got some help in the scan and tune section. and found a great website http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm check it out!

Thanks Guys. Turned out that it was the gas cap....DOH!!!!!

I'll mark that site for the codes. :thumbs:
