Default Need help with Mcleod clutch!!

Hi all.

I recently bought a complet Mcleod clutch twin disk for my C5 from LPE.

And now in already installed. It came with a slave kit and is also installed.
But it feels very rare. I press the clutch pedal with no problem and good pressure, but when I let it off, normally the pedal should be rebound fast and be in a normal position. But it't take long time to rebound. Like no enough pressure back.
The gears are entering correctly and with no problem.

My question is, does exist some adjustment that I can fix my trouble or what's wrong I did in the installation??

Thanks for advice and for help!!

Sorry, I can't help you because I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with mine. It hasn't been right since day 1. I had Mark, at Raging Motorsports who installed it, check it out and attempt to adjust it 3 different times with no luck. I also had a Z06 slave installed at the same time as the clutch. Sometimes it will stick to the floor and not rebound, other times it will engage right away, and then sometimes it will stick and then pop up violently.
I have not even taken it to the track yet. Then I was told that McLeod had some quality issues, and some sponsors even stopped using their clutch. To say I'm disappointed is putting it mildly.
I would love to try the new Exedy clutch, but I paid over a grand for the McLeod and if they aren't going to make good on it, I can't afford to drop another 2 thou for a clutch.
Anybody have any suggestions, recommendations??? :mad

I'm not an expert on clutches, but when I got mine, Red from McLeod made it very clear that I needed to install a Pedal stop so as to NOT over compress the slave cylinder. What I am wondering, if you are depressing your clutch all the way to the floor, you are over centering your clutch, causing the slow return???
With mine, I have all McLeod components and I only have to press the clutch about 1/4 the distance compared to stock. On the track it seems I'm hardly pushing in the clutch at all for smooth quick shifts.
Hope this helps some, if not good luck and let us know what you find.

Had the same issue. We removed the two factory assist springs on the clutch pedal and the clutch got much better.

Man, I am sorry to hear you are having problems!! I had my DD installed almost 2 years ago with the AP adjustable master and a Z06 slave without any problems... I hope you get it figured out and fixed quickly. :yesnod:

VR

Do you think guys that the Mcleod clutch has factory problem with the pressure plate???

Any adjustment in the slave system?
Thanks!!
