When I had my 99 tested, the results were:
--------------HC(ppm)--------------CO(%)
----------max--ave--meas---max---avg---meas
Idle:-----100----17----25-----1.00---0.00---0.00
2500:----130----12-----1-----1.00---0.10---0.00
Only my HC at idle was above average and even that was much below the maximum allowed. The key to passing emissions is no overlap on the cam and a good tune. My cam had -10 degrees of overlap and a very good tune. I am going to a 224/224 114LSA so that will mean my overlap will be -4 degrees. With a good tune, I expect to pass but not by much of a margin.
222/222 on a 112 would have an overlap of -2 so in a perfect world it should pass if everything in the car is working well but it is on the edge. I do not remember what the specs are on a G5-X2 but I think that since I remember the idle being described as lopey that it has a significant amount of overlap, which would flunk it
Re: CA smog... tailpipe sniffer limits? (SFVetteman)
Check my sig for mods, I just passed my test last saturdaywith flying colors! Of course my guy looked the other way as far as the blower and headers, however no funny business. My car is clean burning! Let me know if you want me to post the print out showing what my car measured and also what the limits are.

Yes, please post your sniffer test results and the maximum allowable limits.
