When installing new plugs and wires do I need to keep the RF spark plug
shields ? Do they serve any real purpose ? Do I need to coat the inside
spark plug boots with silicone dielectric grease ? Do I need to apply anti
seize compound on the plug threads ? Why is every body switching to an
NGK plug. I would have thought that the stock plug would be fine since
it was designed specifically for this motor.

Re: Spark Plugs and Wires (INTHERED)
1) I kept them. It's mostly for heat shielding and I saw no reason to remove them.
2) Keeps the header/manifold heat away fromt he wire boot.
3) Yes. Keeps out water.
4) Yes, keeps the steel threads from seizing against the aluminum head.
5) Personal preference there...
6) See above. :D
