Plug the CarChip “black box” data recorder into the OBDII port in your automobile and it continuously records data from your car’s computer control system. Then using the included serial port cable and software, download the recorded data into your PC for analysis. Standard CarChip records up to 75 hours of trip details including date and time, distance, speed, idle time, hard accelerations and decelerations and engine diagnostic trouble codes. E/X version stores up to 300 hours of trip details, has the added capability to monitor any 4 out of 23 user-selectable engine parameters and accident log functionality.
