My question is... I dont have the tools or place to actually perform this since I am basically "living on the road" while I bounce around out here in LA waiting for my house to be built....does anyone know of any place that offers this already done to a line so that I can just swap them out or even take it in to a shop and have it done?
I thought I read somewhere that the 'Vette line is different than that of the Camaro - has a 90 degree bend or something or other - that prevents us from doing this mod?
I know there are some vendors out there that offer replacement lines too..
But since I am at work, I don't know a lot about anything ;) Anyone want to chime in on this one?
Actually, it's worse on the Corvette. There are THREE restrictions between the master and the slave. One where they show at the output of the master, one in the 90 degree bend in the line, and one more in the input to the slave. I just took my assembly to a hydraulic shop, they drilled out the two at the slave and master, and replaced the 90 with an unrestricted one. Cost $50 in labor, $40 in parts. I did this at the same time as putting in my spec II clutch, no more problems in 10,000 miles.
