Turn the key in the ignition to pressurize the lines but do not start. Do this two or three times.
I started the car right up and let it idle for a min. Did not go for a drive.
This morning the car was slow to start the first time that I turned the key. So I let the pressure build by turning the key without start 3 times. It started right up.
At work today I moved my car to a different parking lot. It was slow to start again and took maybe 10-15 seconds to turn over.
When I went to start the car for the ride home from work, it was slow to start again. :nonod:
Its a 30 miles drive each way to work so everything should be ok, but its not.
Will it just get better in a couple of days? Once the car is running everything is ok.
Re: slow to start after fuel filter change... (gmblack3)
Verify the basics to be on the safe side, check for any fuel leaks at the fittings and that the lines didn't get twisted in the process. My 2 cts. hopefully it's that simple, Good luck

I just started her again and it seems to be getting better. Under 5 seconds. I got under the car with the key on to pressurize the system and it was bone dry around the filter. No evidence of any prior leaking either. Lines are all straight as before.
I'm getting some tuning done in a few hours. I guess if their are any major problems will find out there.
Re: slow to start after fuel filter change... (gmblack3)
Well boys and girls, I got some good and bad news from the dyno tonight.
First the good news. My first dyno run without tuning was 384/372. I about fell over. I was hoping for that after tuning.
Then they noticed that the AF was all over the place. Rich at the start then lean at the end. Its appears that the cheap butt fuel filter (puralator) that I got from advanced is bad. The car has been hard to start since I installed the POS yesterday. If its not the fuel filter then it is the fuel pump. It should be the filter.
So tomorrow am I will be at the dealer when they open at 9am. Pick up the filter, over to Wooschs house for the filter change. Then back over to the dyno.
Ron is going to bring me a ported TB over to the dyno shop and I will swap that out as well prior to getting back on the dyno.
