It was fine all day, then when i put it in sixth gear on the highway i noticed a very slight hesitation, eventually it grew though out the range. Like its starving of fuel. But the motor runs strong. When i stoped i noticed idle was lower than normal and it was dipping a few hundred rpm every few seconds. There is also a ticking noise( like spark plug) when the rpm dips. It feels as though the distributor is out of time, but i know better...
I tried to pull the codes unseccesfully but the check engine light never came on.
What could this be, bad plugs, bad fuel pump,
Sorry for the sloppy spelling
BTW, its a 98 coupe with 30K on the clock, just borlas and an intake
Re: Help...The motor is stumbling under acelleration (Monster231)
The problem is most likely bad plugs and/or wires. Under load if the plugs/wires are going bad then it is often easier for them to short out then it is to jump the plug gap
