Kooks-more dyno results

Needless to say, I'm very happy. Besides for the power the throttle response seems much better.
I saw a modded rustang GT on the way home that wanted to play. He had it going on with the hood pins and all. I figure those where worth at least 20hp for him. I about ran over him after I let him get a good start in front of me. I guess he will be thinking twice about messing with a vette the next time. :smash:
Here is the lowdown on my Z06:
01 Z06 with 50k miles, re-ring done back at 20k, I have 1 3/4 kooks w/ cats, an older halltech T1 CF intake, Borla stinger 2 tip catback, new MSG 8.5 wires, plugs are copper TR-55s with 20k miles on them. Fresh mobil 1 5w-30, UPF 44 filter and amsoil in the trany and diff.
Last dyno about a year ago was 357/353 w/ the catback and intake. I never did a baseline dyno.
The tuning was done by Allan Futral of Futral cams.

Do you think I'm on the lean side?

What happened between 3000 and 3500 RPM
BTW I have a Vortex, Kooks w/ cats, and Stingers.

The scale makes the air/fuel variation more noticable, but it is still moving more than most tunes that I have seen. More importantly I would NEVER run an A/F in these cars any leaner than a 12.8, certainly Tom Garland does not. It looks to me like you were experiencing some detonation on the dyno at 5K already. My preference is for a conservative tune, this is to close to edge for my taste.

Sorry to disagree, GM does not tune a stock Z06 to a 13.8, more like 12.2 - 12.4. And yes, I still think a ported T/B on a bolt-on Z06 is a waste of money, and I have not seen the kind of increases that you have seen.
Not flamming you, I know you have a lot of F-Body experience and I respect that. Most Z06's that have gone with a ported T/B get little or no gain, though tip-in throttle response is improved.
And, as you know, I am happy with my 383, and the power it makes, and with the tuning - and yes, I already have a ported T/B. The motor is doing EXACTLY what it was designed to do, but thanks for the offer.
