need help with install adjustable fan controler
I just bought the permacool brand from JEGS. Its a really nice unit and I went with the extra $10 for the screw in temp sender instead of the probe as I thought it would be better. The whole thing was $60 delivered. However the directions do not say where to install the screw-in temp sender. There may be a place on the block but I dont know where yet. The other place, I see in the aftermarket kits, have put it in the thermostat houseing. I also got a new 180 deg unit but the houseing material is pretty thin and I dont think it is thick enough to drill & tap plus the sensor would appear to be right in the flow path of the coolant which may or maynot cause problems. Has anyone done the screw in sensor and where did you locate it? I went into tech tips and the one that was there was nicely done but delt with the probe type sensor. Any input would be appreciated. :steering:
