Cartek 3X package is done...
Before upgrades on a 01 z06 it made 345hp 346tq .. Now 447hp 383tq .. I had everything done ..Ported heads throtle body and intake , 410 gears , Cartek clutch , Kooks high flow cats and headers. Vara ram intake , had it re-ringed , injectors , line lock , and bla bla bla and so on .. Pretty much everything you can bolt on.
I will try to post the dyno sheet later ... Would I pick up a bunch of torque if I lost the cats ?
I have to add the guys at Cartek are great .. Knowledgeable to almost a creepy level ... Thanks guys if you read this ...

You would not pick up much torque removing the cats. It does seem the torque is on the low side though. But as long as your happy!! :cheers:

I've thought about that system. I thought it was supposed to make about 500 horses????? And yeah, that torque does seem LOW. But still, beats the hell out of my basically stock sytem.

Im not knocking your car but the TQ is low. Im sure you spent alot of money with the impression that the TQ would be higher. The hp is respectable, But still not what you expected im sure. On an m6 no less. But then again its not all about dyno #'s so take that B@#$@ to the track. :seeya

I think your numbers are perfect for the track. Torque doesn't seem as important as high end hp at the track and Cartek tunes for the track. So congrats and get that monster to the track. Most cars I know lost 15+ hp due to the gears as well.

Your hp numbers are good considering gears and cats but the tq is low. Thats more of what I would expect from a cam only car.
Did you have your package installed and tuned at Cartek or was it a mail order thing?

Everything was installeld and tuned by Cartek .. I'm not going to worry about anything until I get it to the track , see what it can do ... I may get a little HP/TQ once the rings have more time to seat ...

Yes they are LT headers ... It's their custom 3x cam ... I don't have the spec's on the cam I will give Dave a call and ask , I'm not sure if this is info they are not divulging ... But none the less I will ask ...

I think those #s are low... A 2X package got 472 rwhp 422 rwtq... I would bring it back becasue those don't seem right... Brent is at 501 rwhp and 430 rwtq .... that is a 50 hp & tq. difference :(

Brent has a bunch of extra crap.
People dont realize that when someone posts a 500hp heads/cam car, that car is 1) the freak 2) has a bunch of crap besides heads/cam
I'd say the average Cartek heads/cam package is 450-460rwhp.

I wasn't posting my numbers because I was disappointed .. But it would appear everyone thinks I should be .. So , should I be ? hmmm , I'm getting worried ...
I asked about Brets car when I was at Cartek , and yes Kumar is right he does have more done then I do , electric water pump , no cats , more radical tune ...

CARTEK does not just give those HP #'s out to everyone. It seems like they choose who gets them. SSSHHHHHHHH its called the Inner Circle. :U
1) some cars are freaks
2) Brent has aftermarket TB and intake I am pretty sure, no cats, alum flywheel, electric water pump, probably a more radical setup
People are gullible to believe that since one LG and Cartek heads/cam car made 500hp, all their standard packages should make that much.
