I just went out this morning to start my 2004 Z-06 and no juice. The car only has 1600 miles. Could it be lack of driving? How fast does the battery go dead if not driven?
I read the owner's manual and it says, if any lights are left on, they are turned off automatically in 15 minutes.
My 2004 Coupe has 6000 miles on it so far. The green "eye" on the battery is almost non-existent right now. I once saw an error on the DIC about voltage. I think Chevrolet bought garbage batteries. I'm going to pick up an Optima Red Top either tonight or tomorrow.
My '04 Delco would not hold a charge after a few weeks. No green eye. Seems like OEM batteries are weak when they are installed. Time for a new battery.
The C5 has a pretty strong drain on the battery when parked. Stock battery will be very weak in as little as 2 weeks without driving. Optima yellow top works great for me.

I bought a 2004 Z06 two months ago. It has 1600 miles. It is a daily driver. No problems so far. However, after paying mid fourties for the car, I would be really mad if I had to use a battery tender because I did not use the car for two weeks.
make sure you pull the key from the ignition when you put the corvrtte in the garage so the computers go to "sleep". i have had 3 C-5s,97,99 and 02 and all have been left setting for 4 weeks while i go to fla. for the nascar races and they always start when i get back. i leave the DIC set on battery voltage when i leave and i turn on the ignition to check the voltage and its always 10+ volts. check the "draw" on the battery by removing the negative terminal from the battery and install a amp meter between the battery and the cable and see if the draw is more than .5 amps,if it is check by pulling fuses till you see what causes the draw to drop.
It's the BGM battery. I am just relaying what I've read, not had any problems personally.
I changed my battery out to an Optima as soon as I read about all of the problems the stock batteries were having.
I found out the problem. I turned on the dimmer switch fully to the right, turning on the inside lights. It was left on overnight and the battery was dead the Following day.
The battery is fully charged and working fine now. This is my second C-5 and I had no problems with the first one. I think, bottom line, you can't leave the dimmer switch on continuously or it will drain the batter.
The original batteries are not very good from what I have read. My '01 has the original battery and I never had a problem. I am not going to press my luck much longer though. Do not want any problems when the driving season starts. :seeya

I'd laugh at you but I checked mine as well and I did the same exact thing
Thanks for all your replys.
Only problem I noticed was I charged it for about 12 hours and the little light on the battery still has not turned green
becarefull charging a AGM battery. do not allow the battery to be charged at 3 amperes or more for longer than 10 hours or 10 amperes for longer than 5 hours. check the voltage every 30 minutes and remove the battery from charge when the voltage reaches 15 volts at 3-10 amperes. this is from the GM website. you need to be outside to see the "green eye" because it is a light reflective deal. :chevy
