Helpful hint when installing instrument gauge bezel
I recently installed the chrome instrument gauge bezel and after I finished the tach would not work. I asked around and could not get any help on why it might not work. I decided to pull it apart again and see if I could figure out why it stopped working.
Well, I found out why and wanted to share this info with other so they do not have to tear the dash apart again because of a simple mistake.
When I pulled the gauges out of the car, I notice that the speedometer needle moved and the tach needle did not. I looked closer and noticed the tach needle was below the plastic resting pin and when I started the car the tach was working but it was located below the pin and could not move up because the pin was in the way.
I removed the clear plastic cover and put the needle on top of the pin and now it works great.
