Default Headlight problem decision help needed

I've noticed some of the older C5s have a problem with headlights going inop. Now I am experiencing the same thing.

I think its my headlight switch (multifunction column switch) because I disconnected the main connector (C209 under neath the column), jumpered the lites on the harness side and they lit up (jumper from post 'W' to 'L' (lowbeams) and 'K' (highbeams). When I jumper the harness side connecter to its column side siter ('W' to "W', and 'L' to 'L' or 'K' to 'K') and operate the switch, I get nothing.

Can I assume the switch is inop in headlight function or is the circuit sent somewhere else. I hate to plunk down 200.00+ on a switch and mess around pulling the SIR and steering wheel if its not the problem.

Just looking for a little insight from a C5 tech type or someone who has experienced this problem as well.

Thanks,
Ghost

Mine acted up when I first got it eighteen months ago, just repeatedly working the stalk switch, cured the problem. Mine had sit for several months at the dealers and only had 14k on the clock when I bought it.
