ABS/Traction Control etc GONE after SMOG Test
I just got my Smog done on my 2001 Z06 and now pretty much everything computer controlled is gone...ABS and Traction Control. Lights are on and it gives me an error message.
I talked to those half-brains and they told me they "blew some air" over "someting".....nonsense...
WHAT could have happened here and how do I reset the computer??

First off, tell them to cal the dealership nearest you and set up a billing arrangement to get your car fixed. This is not your problem, it's theirs...
And if they so much as wince at the thought, get on the phone to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and let them chew on their asses...

Not quite sure what the smog test may do to the car's electronics, but I just had the EBCM (Electronic Braking Control Module) replaced in my car for the same reason....Active Handling, Traction Control and ABS system alarms. Many people have had this problem. Run a search on Active Handling...you'll be surprised at the number of threads and suspected causes. Perhaps you'll be able to make a connection. Good luck!

To reset the computer, diconnect the battery. It will force the computer to search for the problems again. If it shows up again then you really do have a problem. If so then do what the others told you. Force them to pay for someone else to do the work or tell on them.
