Right after installing a Hurst shifter i have been grinding gears going from 3rd to 4th. It doesn't happen during nice and easy driving but only when getting on the throttle moderately. In the beginning i thought my timing might be off a little with the shorter throw but that is not the case. I installed the shifter without using the stop nuts to avoid any rattle. Any suggestions?

After I installed my Hurst and a Hurst Classic Black ****, the only problem I have is I sometimes try to take off in 3rd instead of 1st because of the strength of the self-centering.
