Did the short shifter mod (cut the stock and re-threaded). Car shifts much better - less throw - wife even likes it (and that's a plus). Best bang for the zero buck yet!! Instructions on the forum were the best. Hardest part was removing the console/radio cover. Took about 2 hrs start to finish
I tried Hurst and Mallett shifters, but wasn't happy with either of them. Now with my shortened stock shifter and a small 1 7/8" billiard ball ****, all I can say is :hurray: !!!
My pleasure. Make sure you do mod number 3. And buy a spare shifter from this forum first. Their cheap and its good insurance. I did but didn't need it. Still I have it in case I ever want to put the stock one back and re-use the moded one
