Hmmmmm......the idle should be worked out by now. I hope it's nothing serious, cuz my Vararam should be here next week. Do you notice any significant low end torque/power increases?
Just did mine last weekend, it seems to idle a little smoother. makes sure]
your maf and throttle body connectors are tight, question you didn't touch
the wires on the maf, I hope. :steering:
I always noticed my top end (3rd gear and up) to be strongest, but when I installed vararam, I noticed a big improvement on my low end (1st and 2nd). I am very pleased with mine! Nice stronger pull through the gears.
Drove mine easy for 50 miles like they suggest, never had a problem. My SOTP happies :smash: is the 70 - 120 rush...very strong. I guess once the airflow is high enough you get a little boost out of it....and it just keeps on pullin'. Make really sure you don't have any leaks and everythings been plugged back in.
I like my vararam. Ive had it for a bit more than 400 miles. I think the idle may be slightly rougher, but nothing noticible or that concerns me. At 12600, I had my Y2K re-ringed, and while it was at the dealer, I had them bolt on the Vararam, high flow duct, 175 therostat, LS6 manifold, Kooks LT headers, high flow cats with X-pipe, and GHL exhaust. Really a big differance after the bolt ons. So my idle issue which really is not worth noting could be from the added air in and out. When I tell you about a rought idle, im talking about the car idle is sometimes 800 rpm and sometimes 850 rpm. The idle is not choppy, b ut a little differant
