Haven't seen a poll on this in a while and I am getting ready to change fluid and pads. I know there are some strong opinions out there. I will be tracking the car on occasion but will probably get some hawks or willwoods for that. Any input is great, thanks guys..
Re: Pads?? Which do you recommend for the Street. (VT)
Porterfield R4S pads have done great on every car I've used them on. The S variant is their street/hipo version, works great cold and I haven't found the point at which they heat-fade yet. Very easy on the rotors, least dust of any I've ever used. http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/
That said, Raybestos QS (ceramic) pads on the '02 Silverado are doing very well also in terms of dust and stopping ability. Very quiet, and even towing the 3300 lb Z28 they never faded.

I've had my HAWK HPS pads on along with EradiSpeed slotted/drilled rotors for over 2 years now. They perform much better than OEM. I may be one of the lucky ones but mine don't mae any noise and almost no dust.
And they are silkie smooth and very powerful with a nice progressive feel. I also have Goodridge SS lines and ATE SuperBlue DOT 4 racing fluid.

I guess it is not hard to believe that the TAMPAX MAXI PADS choice in the poll actually has 7 votes..

I'm running the PFC Z-rated pads. They stop fine on the street for me, and great with some heat in them. I've also run the PFC stock replacement pads, but went to the more aggressive pad for my autocross use.
Both pads are available at Autozone with lifetime warrenty, so when these wear out, just swap 'em! Hard to beat that for the street! :steering:

A few more votes and you will be putting Maxipads on your car. Just make sure you use the ones with wings so you get more surface area (and absorbancy)
