I bought the LAPD gauge bezels about 2 months ago and installed them while installing my HUD. This morning I got in my car and my Tach bezel was laying at the bottom of my dash. I used the superglue that came with the bezels and followed the instructions for installing them. I checked them before putting the cluster back together and they all felt really solid. Looks like I have a fun Saturday morning lined up. :nonod: Is there a better glue I can use that won't hurt the bezels or gauge cluster?
clear 5 minute epoxy or zap glue.zap glue you can get at a good hobby shop!note;do not get this stuff on you or your work.zap glue makes super glue look like elmers and you will need a doctor if you stick your fingers together!!!!

And he is not joking either !! I build ultra high detail models and I use Plasti-Zap and Zap-A-Gap when building. You use a paper thin amount. It will glue metal together and you will have on hell of time getting it apart. Try this stuff and those guage bezels wil be there 50 years from now. Drying and setting time is with-in seconds. They even have an accelerator that when you use it it bonds at the touch.
I made the mistake of dropping some on my two of my fingers and and before I could say "OH SH**" I had two fingers bonded together. Tore some skin when I pryed them apart.

Re: WTF happened? (My2Dogs)
I agree, Be dang sure that zap doesn't get on you, and be ready to apply the bezel as soon as you put the glue on it. Oh, and be sure you don't make a mistake putting it on either. As mentioned above, I also have had the glue get on my fingers, and it literally scared me. I think I had to use paint thinner or some other strong chemical to help unglue my fingers!!!
I remember using that Zap stuff when I used to make R/C airplanes and Boats. I remember it producing a good bit of heat though, especially if you used the accelerant, so I didn't know if it would harm the bezels or plastic on the cluster. I may try the epoxy so I'll have a little time to adjust the bezel before it sets. Thanks for the suggestions. Then I have to get my abs system checked out after nearly crapping my pants this morning.
 Well, for the last week I keep getting a message saying service ABS/Traction Control System. Usually when I hit a small rut or bump in the road. When it does this, it disables the ABS system. Overnight, a light that has been a flashing yellow light for the last 3 years, turned into and actual green/red/yellow stop light. About a mile after my ABS error, I approach this light and notice it's red. I slam on my brakes and locked all 4 tires at about 50 mph. I slid perfectly straight and stopped right at the line as I sat in a large, thick cloud of smoke. :bb
