I just came into a DRM radiator with the built in oil cooler. I planned to install a sandwich adapter on the oil filter, but after looking I cant afford to drop the oil filter an inch. I dont think with the TPIS headers that the adapter will fit on the temp sensor, I may be wrong. I thought of building a bracket and mounting it on the passangers side frame rail (the radiator fittings are right there anyway.) Any thoughts or suggestions?

RPO #KC4 (Engine Oil Cooler) was dropped in 1992 when synthetic oil was recommended with the LT1.
What are your oil temperatures running? The "HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE REDUCE ENGINE RPM" message comes on at 374 F.

Are you fixing a non existant problem?
Just being cautious! I dont remember hearing anyone getting up to 374 F, I alawys heard 300 F is about the most you want to run on the track which is pretty easy to reach in a 20 minute session.

Mine's mounted horizontally in the center attatched to a bracket behind the radiator fan shroud. It's a bit too low, though, and I need to attatch a plate to protect it better. I've also seen a bracket mounted to the front of the passenger side cylinder head.
