BO RFA Codes

BO RFA Codes
Hi Everybody,
I was wondering if someone could tell me if I need to worry about a few codes I got today after washing my 99 A4. I had 3 codes:
BO RFA
U1096H Loss of Communications with IPC (No State of Health Message)
U1064H Loss of Communications with DCM (No State of Health Message)
U1064H Loss of Communications with PCM (No State of Health Message)
After my battery died this week I have religiously kept monitor of the codes every day and haven't received any until today. I cleared the codes and restarted the car. After shutting down and checking, they did not come back. I know the RFA computer helps monitor the tire pressure sensors and controls the key FOB. Could it have just been one of those odd issues where the RFA computer didn't "boot up" correctly?

Check for leakage at the batteries positive post, if you still have the original battery trash that junk and get a new Red Top battery. The pcm is located under your battery and could be getting fried if leaked on. This happened to me in my 99' and it is $$$$$$$$$ to replace, luckily I was still under warranty. The original Delco batteries were notorious for leaking. You will see that if you do a search on here.

These are recurring codes and can be completely ignored. I've been getting the U1016H, U1064H and the U1096H codes for years. Unless you are experiencing specific problems then no worries. HTH

Thanks for chiming in guys. I replaced my delco battery when it died. It actually leaked when I started to pull it out, but luckily the PCM did not get any acid on it. Only a few wires, but I think I fixed everything. That is why I was checking the codes. These are the only ones I am getting now. But since I reset them, they haven't come back. Car is running great <knock on wood>

You should also check your passenger floorbaord for water after you've wash it. There is the other fusebox under there. Water could be getting in under your weatherstripping or you could have a problem with your ac leaking onto the floorboard. Do a search on here for more info.
