I was wonderin if you could fit a vortec 8100 in a vette, i know it would affect handling but i was thinkin for drag racing it would be good. anyway i was jsut wonderin if it would fit.
I know of one. It was in one of the corvette magazines. There was alot of fabrication to get it to fit. I think his hp numbers were only around 400. Get a 427 or something if you want big cubes. They still use and LSx block to build them. Kaley

Dayum. That's a bad butt hummer. What size wheels are those? What kind of power are you expecting out of the 8.1? I haven't heard very much about them at all.
The wheels are Welds and they are 20's. I'm figuring at least 400-450hp but its the torque that I'm looking for. Who ever said that the 8.1 is a heavy engine definately knew what they were talking about. I think this set-up would be a boat anchor in a C5.
