I'm running 3" straight pipes in place of the cats flowing into the Borla XR-1 system, it dropped roughly 40lbs compared to stock and the sound is awesome at WOT. I definitely recommend this route but finish the Borla system with 2.5" extensions to push the pipes out and finish it off with 4.5" tips, the look is killer with people constantly asking me what the hell is under the hood. :cheers:

The cutouts will be louder inside the car, since you're dumping the exhaust underneath the car somewhere. The straight pipes will be WAY quieter inside the car, but probably louder outside the car.
