Default Cam choice

For a M6 car with LS6 heads and long tubes (probably Dynatechs)
I want low and mid range mostly, increase in average HP rather than peak.

TSPs 225?

I've read that the 224 is a good power adder...and I'll be finding out in the next couple weeks

I'd go with a Futral 228. They use Cam Motion Lobes not a Comp grind. My #s are in my sig.

I did forget to mention that Colorado has smog tests. IM240, to be exact. I think that 228 would be the largest duration that could be passed with stock cats, with the cooler metallic ones, I'd guess the 225 would be the most.

Does Futral have a grind in the 224-225 range? Their website leaves some to be desired, and I can't call them as I am at work right now.

I'd be temped to say screw it, and go with the G5X3, but I would hate to have to swap cams at smog time.

We have a large assortment of camshafts for each individual need. We have them for drag racing, street/strip, autocross, etc. Our cams use what we call accelerated lobe lift. Here is a link to our list of cams, and we can also do custom grinds. http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...AGE%20LS1.HTML Any questions, please give us a call.
