That is correct. So your battery drain is not from anything outside the battery.
However, as a battery starts to fail it can develop an internal drain due to a short in the plates and you will not be able to measure this from outside of the battery. It can also fail to hold a charge, which will look the same as an internal drain. The only thing to do is to place the battery on the charger regularly until it completely dies, or replace it.
Mine reads 60 mA in sleep mode. The 02.31 mA sounds like 231 mA which would explain the drain.
:iagree: Sounds likely. Has your battery ever truely discharged and needed to be re-charged? Sometimes they do not respond well to charging, so it could be a bad battery. Get a Battery Tender to use when the car is out of service for awhile. :)
