Can anyone tell me the type of fitting that screws into the top of the raidiator for the transmission cooler line. Went by NAPA and they do not know want to make up a custom stainless line but do not want to cut old one off for additional cooler rather than cut hose.
Thanks, kirby
The transmission lines use 5/8-18, inverted flare type fittings.
The fittings are most commonly used in fuel systems and the inverted flare female fittings can be even harder to find than the male. I used an inverted flare female union to connect to male inverted flare that I put on the return line from the cooler to the return line to the transmission. The C5 uses a female union to join the two-piece transmission lines together and is GM #442338
