Default Parking break help please? one side works one doesnt

When i pull the brake i can feel one side grabbing and i just verified this by pulling the ebrake in my driveway to see the pass side left a skid mark and the ds left nothing. I just put on new rotors and also had to loosen up the star adjuster on the ds as it was frozen. I adjusted the DS brake shoe so the rotor would just fit over it. In fact it required a tad of force to get it over the shoe. I then put a lug nut on, pulled the handle a few times and tried to check it. The rotor is now on firm and will NOT come off. However i can rotate the hub back there w/s ome force so i know its not frozen on. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I know it worked before (inadequately but it worked!!)
Thanks
dave

Was there a lip on the inside surface if so maybe you had it too much adlusted and now can't get it off, Is there an adjustment access from the back side if so try loosening it off.

also, i made it sound like the DS rotor wasnt holding at all. It is, just not as well as the passenger side. I cannot move the car w/ the ebrake on while in first buts its because of the PS brake not the DS.

First thing mine dId the same thing
The hook that the parking brake cable was hooked to was gone.
I had to buy the parking brake kit and replace everything.
It was 168.00 at the dealer.
If this is the case maybe you can get the hook and pin from Gene at the KARSHOP.

everything is still intact and the ebrake on that side works a bit, just not nearly as good as the pass side.

im going to tear back into it tonight, anyone have anything I could/should look for? Im going to check to ensure the cable is pulled when the handle is pulled but i dont know what else after. I might have a friend pull up on the handle slowly w/ the drum off to see if the wheel cylinder is moving.
