I'm about to swap the springs on my 99... right off the bat I have a question.
In looking over the rear, I have what looks kind of like an E clip on top of the rear height adjustment bolts. It seems to me this has to be taken off the bolt before the ends of the spring can be unassembled.
Is this true? and would a normal E clip tool work on this? If so, I have to pick one up tomorrow.
A small pick or screwdriver should work to remove the clips, the rear spring is fairly easy to r&r. Be carefull with the front spring, it is loaded and can pop with a lot of force when unloaded. I had to remove the 2 lower control arm bolts and allow the arm to swing fromt the lower ball joint to remove my spring. Mark the eccentrics on the bolts so as to keep your alignment as close as possible.

Thanks!
as for the clip in the rear, it came off pretty easy on the passenger side. It was missing on the driver side - so I guess they don't stay on that tight.
If you need a hand or help let me know. It was a pretty straightforward job when I did the same on my 97. Remember to Get the ride control turned of at the dealership with a tec 2 and put resistors in the shock sensors, otherwise the DIC will throw a code and not let you drive over 80. Are you going to keep the f45 shocks or get rid of them like you did when you gave me your stock exhaust? If you want to get rid or them, I would take them of your hands. Thanks!
