What tread depth is the recomended replacement point for GY runflats? I know you can run them down as far as you want but at what point is failure an issue?

Because the car has such wide tires for a, relatively, light car I don't take mine done much past 4/32. The light weight and big tread make the car a good candiate for hydroplaning. 2/32 is the legal limit most places. As far as runflats I would use any excuse to replace them! :)
Look at the large goove in the tire. You will see a "tread bar". The tread bar is a small raised portion in the groove. There is a tread bar every few inches. When the main tread is worn down to the tread bar, you need to replace the tire.
:iagree: Yes, as long as the roads are try, the minimum tread is OK. Get in a downpour with sheets of water on the road, and you'll know what the term "pucker factor" means.
