Had the dealer do the 30K mile check up. I noticed right away that the shifting was soft. Got worse and within 5 days it's revving between gears and not shifting when it should. Noticed it in reverse after parked for 45 minutes,
it revved before moving. What could they have done that would bring this on suddenly. It's a 99 that has never spun a tire. I jump on it once in awhile at higher speeds.

Re: Auto trans slipping after fluid change? (Heretic)
The 4L60E filter has a metal or plastic pickup tube that we cut a small notch in at the very lip (bottom) just in case the pan would get smashed up onto it....this allows it to still suck fluid.
I would secound and third the opinions that they under filled it.....but the slipping you describe already leads me to suspect damage is done.

Thanks for all the advice. Last week I had also told them my horn wasn't working. They told me BOTH horns failed. I told them I would diagnos that myself.
They said they thought there might have been an air bubble in the trans when they filled it. They got the trans working properly. When I told them I found that the switch in the wheel was the problem with the horn, they fixed that for free, washed it and apolagized! You can't ask for anymore then that. That"s why I used a dealer and that is why I will use this dealer again.
