Shifter install tips?
Did a search on this forum for"shifter" and for "Kirban" --- got no hits.
I've installed a shifter on an F-body, but not a C5. Any tips I should know about removing the console?
ANy helpful sites similar to "Install University"??

See the bar across the screen that says: "Welcome Forums Corvette Mall Events Tools ..." ?
Click on Tools, then Tech Tips, then C5.
Pick the "Ripper Install" from the list.
There you go.
Easy, took me like 30 minutes.

Here's a website I put together for the Hurst. They're all about the same except for minor differences in the shifters themselves. Email me if you have any questions. Pulling the Demon Key (**** retainer) is the toughest part although I've been lucky and the two I've extracted almost fell out. The second one I used a set of vise grips and a hammer to tap it out upwards.
